Alejandro Herrera

Coordinator of Membership and Guest Services at Moraine Valley Community College

Serving as the Coordinator of Membership and Guest Services at Moraine Valley Community College, Mr. Herrera provides leadership and management of the customer service and welcome desk operations that includes staffing, policies and procedures, access control, membership sales, program registration, and equipment issues. He also leads and develops a comprehensive membership retention program to include: membership appreciation days and membership renewals. Previously, he served as the Assistant General Manager at Sky Zone Indoor Trampoline Park in Timonium, Maryland, where he was responsible for managing the daily operations of a 28,000 sq. ft., park, coordinating youth camps, and assisting with scheduling of weekly facility rentals. After graduating with his Master's in Recreation, Event and Sport Management from the University of North Texas, Alejandro began his professional career at the University of Memphis at Lambuth in Jackson, Tennessee as the Campus Recreation Supervisor. He coordinated and operated a 92,000 sq. ft., facility and oversaw all program areas that made up the spectrum of campus recreation, such as fitness, aquatics, sport clubs, and intramurals. He was also part of the student affairs committee for the university and volunteered as an Engagement Coordinator for NIRSA.
