Chris Stewart

Coordinator of Facilities at Cleveland State University

Serving as the Coordinator of Facilities at Cleveland State University, Mr. Stewart directly oversees all facility spaces in the Recreation Center while supervising a staff of 80 student staff and one Graduate Supervisor. He also is responsible for developing preventative maintenance plans for all facility and custodial equipment, while ensuring the success of all janitorial and custodial operations. Previously, he served as the Assistant Director for Indoor Satellites with Recreational Sports at The University of Texas at Austin. Here he was responsible for the oversight of three facilities totaling over 160,000 sq. ft. of indoor activity space, while leading a staff of 55 Activity Supervisors and 30 Building Coordinators. Prior to his time UT Austin, he served as a Graduate Assistant for Facilities at Texas A&M University where he earned his Master’s degree in Recreation, Parks, and Tourism Sciences. After graduating from The Ohio State University with a Marketing degree, Mr. Stewart worked as a Program Assistant for Ohio State Recreational Sports for one year where he worked with special events and assessment.
