Mylan Park retained CENTERS in early 2016 to provide financial modeling for the proposed home to the West Virginia University Athletics Aquatic and Track teams.  In September 2016, Mylan Park and CENTERS entered into a pre-management agreement for the 80,000 square foot Aquatics and Track Center at Mylan Park that is slated to open in May, 2019.  CENTERS will prepare a business plan, consult on design decisions, hire ambitious campus recreation professionals, develop programs, cultivate partnerships and market the building.

Additionally, CENTERS completed an operational review of all park properties in December, 2018.  In January, 2018, CENTERS expanded its contract with Mylan Park to include management of all park properties including the Hazel and J.W. Ruby Community Center, Hazel Turf Athletic Fields, Anker Field Sports Complex, the Fair Pavilion, and Horseshoe Courts.

Mylan Park is a state-of-the-art recreational and educational complex located on over 300 acres of beautifully reclaimed surface-mined property just minutes from downtown Morgantown, West Virginia. The Mylan Park Foundation, Inc. advances the educational, recreational, social and economic benefits to North Central West Virginia citizens, with the purpose of improving the quality of life for residents of, and visitors to, the Greater Morgantown area.  With the community’s needs at the forefront, the conceptual master plan for Mylan Park now includes the development of projects designed specifically to improve the quality of life for citizens in the region by fulfilling needs that would otherwise go unmet, while having a positive economic impact on the region.

CENTERS will assist the park in meeting its vision, mission, and goals.  Furthermore, as one of the main tenant of park properties, CENTERS will work closely with WVU to ensure its students are given the use of outstanding facilities for its Sport Club and Intramural programs as well as its Track and Aquatics teams in University Athletics.   WVU Recreation regularly uses the Hazel and J.W. Ruby Community Center and outdoor fields for its Sport Club and IM programs and WVU Athletics Track and Aquatics teams will train and compete in the Aquatics and Track Center year round.
