Edward Denny

Coordinator of Competitive Aquatics and Track at Mylan Park

Hired as the Coordinator of Competitive Aquatics and Track, Mr Denny oversees all aspects of competition involving the Aquatic Center and Track complex at Mylan Park. This includes WVU Swimming and Diving and Women's Track and Field practices and competitions, the local youth club swim team, Club Mountaineer, practices and competitions as well as the area high schools for both swimming and track. A graduate of WVU in 1982, Mr Denny was one of the men's swim team captains his senior year and held the old WVU natatorium pool record in the 1650 yard Freestyle from 1980 until it's closing in 2019. He has worked as an assistant coach/PE instructor at the United States Naval Academy (1984-88), the United States Military Academy at West Point (1989-92) and spent 27 years as the head swimming coach at Fairmont State University and California University of PA. In his free time, Mr. Denny enjoys swimming, cycling and practicing yoga. He has one son, Jack, and lives in Morgantown, WV.
