Laura Crisman

Assistant Director of Programs and Communications at Harper College

Serving as the Assistant Director of Programs and Communications at Harper College, Ms. Crisman is responsible for the communication and marketing strategies for the Health and Recreation Center and for the Department of Campus Recreation. Her responsibilities include the creation and implementation of all promotional/retention plans, email communications, campus outreach, social media, digital media, digital signage and radio advertising copy/content and the creation and management of all printed collateral. Ms. Crisman is also responsible for implementation and management of the Campus Recreation programming including personal training, group exercise and virtual fitness. She also manages the fitness center including the student fitness floor supervisors, personal trainers, and group fitness instructors. The Harper College Health and Recreation Center is a 130,000 square foot state of the art facility that houses the Department of Campus Recreation, Harper Wellness, Athletics, Kinesiology, Health Sciences, Palatine Park District and Northwest Community Healthcare. Laura recently received her Master of Science in Integrated Marketing Communications from Roosevelt University, Chicago and served as the Senior Marketing Communications Coordinator for a healthcare association. Laura was also the General Manager of a boutique fitness studio and spent numerous years in the medical fitness industry as the Group Exercise Supervisor and Personal Trainer for a large medically-based wellness center in the Chicago suburbs.
