Melissa Evers

Coordinator of Aquatics at Cleveland State University

Melissa oversees the Aquatics Department and is Co-Chair of Risk Management Committee. Mrs. Evers is responsible for recreational programming and initiatives as part of the Recreation Centers offerings, as well as providing lifeguard coverage for the CSU Swim & Dive program and athletics needs. She has been in Aquatics for more than 20 years; working in summer camp, medical fitness, and municipality recreation prior to beginning at Cleveland State University. Melissa completed her undergraduate degree in Middle-Level Education from the University of Akron and immediately began a graduate licensure cohort in Special Education, also at the University of Akron. After teaching 5th- and 6th-grade general and special education for several years, she returned to full-time aquatics and recreation.
