CENTERS has developed several long-term business relationships within the sports, fitness, and recreation industries.

Our practice includes significant leadership and participation in industry associations, allowing us to share our experiences and stay current with all the trends and requirements of today’s collegiate recreation departments.

CENTERS benefits from the cross-ownership of and headquarters co-location with Brailsford & Dunlavey, Inc. (“B&D”). B&D, a program management firm with in-house planning capabilities, has provided planning through implementation services for quality-of-life facilities for over 400 college and university clients. This collaboration provides CENTERS with in-house research and methods along with access to professionals with the latest industry market analysis, financial constraints and opportunities, and development expertise. The sharing of administrative resources provides efficient daily operations and includes executive oversight, information technology, accounting, and human resources.
CENTERS is an active leader and member in several industry-related associations and organizations. We frequently attend, present, and exhibit at a number of workshops, symposia, and conferences annually. Doing so allows us to refine best practices, learn from different perspectives, place our work in a larger context, and ultimately better serve our clients. We are proud to be affiliated with the following groups:

  • National Intramural Recreational Sports Association (NIRSA). CENTERS exclusively recruits NIRSA professional and student members. We pay all professional membership dues for our employees and maintain an institutional membership for all recreational facilities we manage. Many of our employees hold leadership positions in NIRSA, present at its workshops and symposia, and serve on its committees. www.nirsa.org
  • Student Affairs Administrators in Higher Education (NASPA) www.naspa.org
  • National Association of College and Business Officers (NACUBO). www.nacubo.org
  • National Association of College Auxiliary Services (NACAS). www.nacas.org
