At CENTERS, we believe in recognizing the outstanding contributions of our employees who go above and beyond in making a difference. Through their ambition, innovative thinking, quality of work, and determination, they shape the communities we serve for the better.
We are thrilled to announce that Katie Blodorn, Assistant Director for Fitness and Wellness Programming at the Cleveland State University Recreation Center, has received the highest honor within our organization, the Quest for X Award. This prestigious award celebrates her remarkable initiative on campus and her innovative spirit in creating impactful programs for the CSU community.
Katie led the charge in establishing a unique experience at the CSU Recreation Center by launching the Green Roof Initiative. This space, home to the university’s cutting-edge FarmBot, serves as a hub for sustainable living and wellness. Partnering with many departments on campus including, Grounds, Health Education, Technology, Teacher Education, Nursing, and Engineering, Katie introduced culinary arts workshops that empower students to cook healthy meals using fresh, affordable ingredients. This initiative, part of the broader Shine Well program, is a testament to Katie’s vision of fostering health and sustainability on campus.
Her leadership and commitment to creating a healthy and connected campus community are a true reflection of the values we uphold at CENTERS. Congratulations, Katie, for this well-deserved recognition!
