At Cleveland State University, CENTERS repositioned Conference and Event Services from a largely transactional operation into a disciplined, market-facing business unit. The work included aligning pricing with the total cost of service, strengthening lead generation and intake, improving staff training, configuring operating systems, and tracking margins more consistently.

The results demonstrate the value of focused event and conference services management:

Revenue increased from $309,000 in FY24 to $364,479 in FY25, an 18% increase.
FY26 revenue reached $607,186, more than 90% above FY24.
The operation generated approximately $150,000 in net operating income in FY26, its first positive annual result.
Long-standing clients were retained while pricing and operating practices became more disciplined.
